Yoshi’s Island Wii U uncovered by Miiverse hacker

Nintendo’s online security is coming under scrutiny after a gamer hacked their Miiverse platform mere hours after the console’s North American launch.

A NeoGAF member by the name of Trike did the hacking and posted his findings, which included mentions of a Yoshi’s Island game for Wii U.

The hack allowed him to see behind the curtain and access the admin system, which granted him the ability to delete the accounts of others.

A detailed account of what happened as well as pictures of what he saw can be seen here.

What kind of super-hacker tactics did Trike use? Well here’s what he said: ”I found out I could access the debug menu on Miiverse by hitting the “X” button on the gamepad while hovering over the exit button.”
