Activision announced that Collection #3: Chaos Pack will be released on 9th August and Collection #4: Final Assault will wrap up the series of DLC on 6th September. These dates are for the Xbox 360 release as Microsoft nabbed themselves a nifty exclusivity deal, but fear not PS3 and PC users! The DLC will be available to other platforms shortly after the Xbox 360 release.
Collection #3: Chaos Pack is for all you single players and co-op players, adding more gameplay and content to Special Ops mode. The main feature in this pack is four new Special Ops missions – Vertigo, Arctic Recon, Light ‘Em Up and Special Delivery – and Face Off maps including Vortex, U-Turn and Intersection. Also included is the brand new Special Ops Chaos Mode which challenges players to survive waves of enemies and chart the highest score you can on the multiplayer maps Resistance, Village, Underground and Dome.
The final DLC Collection #4 Final Assault will contain five brand-spanking new multiplayer maps and is aimed at you multiplayer aficionados out there. The maps included are the western mining town inspired “Gulch” and Ocean themed “Offshore” and “Decommission” will have you taking the fight to oilrigs and shipwrecks . “Boardwalk” will let players face off in the sunshine on Jersey Shore while “Parish” whisks you away to a war-torn New Orleans.
Impressively the entire Season of Content including the upcoming collections will have seen 29 pieces of DLC released for MW3.
