Rambo details emerge
New details have been released on Rambo: The Video Game by Reef Entertainment as they prepare for Gamescom.
Focussing on the first three Rambo movies (First Blood, Rambo: First Blood part two and Rambo 3) this first person shooter promises to deliver an authentic John Rambo experience including some iconic set pieces from the films.
They have revealed that as well as shoot-outs, there will also be stealth based gameplay as well as demolition and knife-play. Keeping in with the tone of the films and making sure the action is explosive and tense the game will feature destructible buildings and cover based shooting. Couple these with the confirmed rag-doll physics, the possibility of sending a troop of enemies sky-high while blowing up a hut, all from cover during a shoot-out just screams Rambo to me.
Reef Entertainment Commercial Director Craig Lewis said: “For RAMBO ® THE VIDEO GAME we are concentrating on authenticity to the films, variety of action and explosive gameplay sequences. By matching classic fixed-perspective play to a contemporary game engine we believe we can deliver a game that matches the pace and action set-piece diversity of the films.
