Dishonored boasts a star studded cast

What do Star Wars, Mad Men and Thelma and Louise all have in common? No it’s not being fabulous! It is that they each have a cast member lending their voice to Bethesda’s eagerly anticipated Dishonored.

In Dishonored you will play as the revenge driven, supernatural assassin Corvo and will focus on letting players choose on how they dispose of their enemies with each choice affecting each mission and the games ending.

The full cast was unveiled today by Bethesda studio and is full of award winning actors and actresses including Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon who is making her video game debut as the intriguingly  mad former aristocrat Granny Rags.

Golden Globe winner and Lord of the Rings star Brad Dourif will take the role of Piero, inventor of Corvo’s mask and gadgets. John Slattery (Mad Men) will voice your ally Admiral Havelock as he helps Corvo on his quest.

Star Wars fans will recognise the voice of Carrie Fisher in a role reversal as she delivers government propaganda messages through the streets of the city of Durnwall (the games setting), no longer helping any rebel alliances here I see Carrie…

The list of stars doesn’t stop there, with Michael Madsen (Resevoir Dogs) lending his most cool voice to the assassin Daud, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick ass) will be the voice of the Empresses daughter Young Lady Emily who is kidnapped after her mother’s death and I’m sure who won’t be dropping any C-bombs this time round.

Rounding off this heavyweight cast is Lena Headley (300) as Calista, and all being surrounded by an original score by Daniel Licht (Dexter).

“Having such talented actors voice Dishonored’s compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game,” said Raphaël Colantonio, president of Arkane Studios.

“We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience.”

It is hard to say that the cast of Dishonored is anything but impressive and adds to the list of many great casts featured in Bethesda titles. You will get the chance to hear them in character when Dishonored is released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 12th.
