Transformers release date brought forward

It may only be a week, but Activision have decided to bring the release date for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron forward by a week, with the game now hitting shelves from the 24th August.

“High Moon Studios has listened to the countless emails, tweets, user comments and Facebook posts from fans who are clamoring for the game to hit stores.  They are so proud of their work that they cannot wait to get it into people’s hands the minute it’s ready.”

Will that decision come back to bite them in the ass? Probably not. A week is nothing in the development world of video games, and development by High Moon Studios probably finished some weeks ago. If the game is going to suck, this week won’t make any difference. And don’t forget it’s a Best of E3 winner!

Activision have released a trailer for you to watch though, and at the moment we’re edging towards Fall of Cybertron not being too bad.
