Orcs Must Die! 2 gets release date
Get ready for some more Orc and Goblin carnage as the sequel to Robot Entertainments’ third-person tower-defence hack ‘em up is due for release on July 30th. It’s time to make those Orcs pay… again!
“Orcs Must Die! 2 thrusts players and their friends back into battle against a terrifying mob of orcs and other monsters. With a redesigned spellbook, players will have a broader range of options to build a deadly arsenal of defenses. Investing hard-earned skulls in an enormous new upgrade system will allow players to cater to their favorite methods of burning, grinding, tossing, or dismembering orcs.”
The original Orcs Must Die! was a surprise hit of late 2011. The action was fast, fun and lethal. This sequel is set to be double the fun as the entire game is playable in co-operative mode thanks to the addition of the Sorceress character. In addition, levels can be played over and over again to make sure you get as many skulls – and kill as many Orcs – as possible. There will be more traps, more spells, more weapons – provided it can help kill Orcs, there’s going to be more of it.
It’s a dark time for Orcish kind although they have brought a few friends along to tip the balance back in their favour – not just your standard greenskin either.
Also, if you haven’t tried the original yet (shame on you!) then it might be time to take the plunge.
