Silent Hill: Book of Memories
Konami have announced at E3 the release of Silent Hill: Book of Memories, which will be a PS Vita exclusive with a release date of October 2012. Book of Memories will the 9th Silent Hill game in the series since its debut in 1999 on the Playstation 2 and will be developed by WayForward Technologies. Silent Hill: Origins in 2007 and Shattered Memories in 2009 both appeared on Playstation’s PSP device so Book of Memories should feel right at home on the Playstation Vita.
The story begins with a strange book that is received, inside that book is your entire life story to this point, everything that’s ever happened to you; all of your memories. You discover that by altering what’s written you can actually change the past and write your own ideal history.
Book of Memories will take a slightly different approach to the Silent Hill series, focusing on RPG elements and multiplayer capabilities for the first time ever. Players can work with other gamers to solve puzzles and defeat demonic creatures in your quest to uncover the truth of the Book of Memories.
More details will be available soon on Book of Memories, though it looks like this could shape up to be a great title for the PS Vita, and Gamedot will keep you up to date with any additional incoming news.
