NG Sigma Plus release date confirmed
Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja have today confirmed the release date for Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, with the PS Vita version hitting stores from the 22nd February.
Already released on the PS3, we’re promised a title that is better than ever, combining the high speed action of Ninja Gaiden with the new features of the PS Vita. Sigma Plus will support touchscreen actions, use the Vita’s Gyro sensor and its rear touch pad. The Gyro sensor will be used to target your enemies and shoot projectiles, while the rear touch pad will be used to launch stronger Ninpo. However the press release (which you can find below in full) promises that this is only a snippet of the games functionality and integration with the new handheld console.
“The Ninja Gaiden series lends itself to a great experience on this amazing new platform,” says Yosuke Hayashi, Studio Head of Team NINJA. “We’re confident that gamers, both our fans and those new to the series, will find NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA PLUS to be a thrilling and challenging experience that lives up to the spirit of what the series is best known for while offering a host of new and portable gameplay mechanics.”
