DLC for WRC announced
Milestone and Black Bean Games have today revealed DLC for WRC. And if you’re wondering if that’s the game that hasn’t even been released yet, then you’d be correct.
The DLC includes a host of new cars from the Group B era of the 1982 to 1987 era. Included are;
WRC
Citroën C4 WRC, Ford Focus 09 WRC, Ford Focus 08 WRC, Subaru Impreza WRC 07.
S-WRC
Abarth Grande Punto S2000, Ford Fiesta S2000, Škoda Fabia S2000, Peugeot 207 S2000.
P-WRC
Subaru Impreza N4, Mitsubishi Lancer X, Mitsubishi Lancer IX.
J-WRC
Suzuki Swift S1600, Citroën C2 S1600, Renault Clio R3, Honda Civic R3, Ford Fiesta R2, Citroen C2 R2, Suzuki Swift R2.
Releasing DLC alongside a games release isn’t something that’s new. Mafia II came with 2 pieces of content with the game. However these were both free. The DLC for WRC however is not free, with the content costing 400 MS Points or 4.99 on the PSN. Even worse is the content will be free for PC users.
Granted there are quite a few cars in this pack, and the content probably wasn’t ready in time to include it in the full game. But to charge when the game isn’t released perhaps is a bit naughty. Whether they are being as naughty as 2K with the Bioshock DLC remains to be seen.
WRC is due for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in October.
