Portal 2 official

Recently Valve updated the original Portal on steam with a file which altered sounds in the game to produce morse code style messages, which when translated using a computer produced very sketchy images of concept art altered into text. Along with a new steam achievement, and even went so far as to alter the ending of the game. But today GameInformer’s latest issue will have the full information release of the sequel to Valve’s highly successful Portal with two special edition covers. More surprisingly is the news Portal 2 will include Co-op.

In the meantime you can check out the two images, which show the Aperture Science labs losing to Mother Nature. The final piece of information is that the game will be released in time for Christmas. with a Q4 scheduled release. But rest assured this cake is not a lie. This information comes just before Gabe Newell co-founder of Valve Software receives an award for excellence at GDC 10 (Games Developer’s Conference).

Portal 2 is set to drop this upcoming holiday season at full retail price. Even though the first game was just a few hours long, the sequel promises some extra content for your return through Aperture Science, most notably the inclusion of co-op.”
