Race Driver: GRID Reloaded

Codemasters has today confirmed that a new edition of Race Driver: GRID is set to launch.

Reloaded is a premium Platinum edition of Race Driver: GRID and will launch on the 12th March on the PS3, at a cost of £24.99 . This release will include extra content which includes over £10 worth of DLC.

The content includes the Bathurst Circuit in Australia, the Ferrari F430 and the car that seems to be doing the rounds right now, the Bugatti Veyron, as well as others.

If you have the original GRID and are feeling a bit miffed right now, then don’t be. You can get a hold of the DLC content yourself when it is released on the PSN on the 11th March at a cost of £7.99. Since we’re told this content is worth over £10, that’s not a bad deal!

Thursday 4th March/… A premium Platinum edition of the BAFTA Award winning Race Driver: GRID™ will launch in PAL territories on March 11th and March 12th in the UK for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system priced at £24.99. Entitled Race Driver: GRID™ Reloaded, the release will add extra content to the aggressive wheel-to-wheel racing experience by including codes in the box that will provide players with over £10 worth of new downloadable content (DLC).

Race Driver: GRID is the critically acclaimed, million-plus selling racer that made racing exciting again. Packed with the most powerful race cars – new and classic, circuit and drift – players travel three continents competing in circuit, road and urban street events. Further extending the original, two DLC codes will be included in Race Driver: GRID

The new Prestige Pack introduces the beautifully realised, legendary Australian Bathurst circuit and 10 of the planet’s most desirable cars, including the Ferrari F430 GTC, Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari F575 GTC. Gamers can also get behind the wheel of the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722, Lotus 2-Eleven, Lamborghini Gallardo GT, Mazda Furai, Jaguar XKR GT3, Honda Integra Type-R (DC5) and Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

The 8 Ball Pack delivers eight superb high performance new cars to drive in the game’s ‘Race Day’ mode and online races. New featured cars include the McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Honda S2000, Nissan GT-R (S-G2008), VW Nardo, Pontiac Firebird and the Volvo C30. The 8 Ball pack also comes complete with two new multiplayer events to compete in set on existing circuits from across Race Driver: GRID’s three continents and designed to test drivers to their very limit online.

The Prestige Pack will also be available as separate DLC for existing Race Driver: GRID players in PAL territories and North America, and will launch on the PLAYSTATION® Network on 11th of March for £7.99 / $9.99. The 8 Ball Pack is currently available for download on PLAYSTATION Network and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace. All downloadable content requires a copy of Race Driver: GRID to play.

Race Driver: GRID Reloaded launches in PAL territories on March 11th with a UK street date of March 12th for the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system priced at £24.99. A Reloaded edition of Race Driver: GRID for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system will also be available and include a DLC code for the 8 Ball Pack.
