Split/Second dated
Disney Interactive Studios have today announced the release date for Split/Second, an action racing game developed by Black Rock Studio.
Due for release in the UK on the 21st May, the game will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
For those that don’t know much about Split/Second, the game was rated the Best Racing Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2009. The game is set as a TV show where you race through a City rigged with explosives. During racing you’ll have the opportunity to set off these explosives to harm your competitors chances, or even change the track completely.
It sounds an interesting concept and we look forward to having a look at it.
Disney Interactive Studios announced today that Split/Second, the action racing game from Black Rock Studio, will be released in North America on Tuesday, May 18. The European release date is May 21. Set within the world of a fictional reality TV show, Split/Second players don’t just try to race to the finish line – they trigger explosive events that alter the track to take out opponents or create short cuts.
Split/Second is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older. The game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Winner of the prestigious Game Critics Award as Best Racing Game of E3, Split/Second has a SRP of $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $49.99 for Windows PC.
