MW2 online ruined?

An interesting or potentially devastating article has been published over at Glitcher.net, claiming a list of mods previously only available for the PC version of MW2, has now made its way onto the console versions of the game. To make matters worse, a Javelin glitch appears to be back and they have confirmed the care package glitch (which was just patched) is still around.

The full list of mods that they claim have somehow worked their way into the console game are;

1. God Mode (Don’t Die)
2. Wall Hack (See People Through Walls)
3. Jump Height (Jump Higher)
4. Default Weapon (New Weapon)
5. Gold Desert Eagle (COD4 Gold Desert Eagle)
6. No Recoil (Gun Does Not Have Any Kickback)
7. Unlimited Ammo (Never Run Out Of Ammo)
8. Spawn With AC-130
9. Every Perk (All Perks)
10. Other People Have NO PERKS
11. Other People Can Not Jump
12. Text On Screen (Messages At Beginning)

There is no running away from the fact that MW2 is a complete mess online. I do come across glitchers every night. Heck one person I play with on a regular basis does use some of the known glitches and he knows exactly how I feel about him using them.

So is MW2 online now completely dead and buried? It’s a fair shout as so fair Infinity Ward have been unable to patch most of the glitches that have appeared. If these mods are indeed on the console game, I think MW2 online could be screwed beyond repair. Would you want to play in a game where you can’t jump and are up against players who spawn with the AC-130, won’t allow you to jump or have any perks at all. I know I wouldn’t.

If anything , it's dead for me because rather than everyone having fun exploiting the fun glitches like the jav grenade, your account can be banned and it was never your fault for doing it, when you didn't bring it to the game.

This entire glitch/hack thing is because the PC gamers still don't have dedicated servers. IW have a fight they cannot win on thier hands but can ignore, and try thier best to patch but least its not like this just yet:

All they will do is release easy to get by patches so people can rehack them. And when they patch again people will get cause have have to rebuy the game and wait for the updated hack to come out to start the cycle all over again. This all keeps people buying the game so Im pretty sure Activion welcomes all the hacking and the money they make from people have to rebuy the game when they get caught.

Really disappointed in MW2 now, 6 of the 7 games I joined recently were hacked. It's went from my favourite online pass the time game to the bin.
