Dragon Rising support ends

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was due to be a fantastic game. It offered up so much promise amongst a lot of hype, but sadly never really delivered. The simple fact was, the game just had far too much work that needed doing to it and in all honesty, was probably rushed out.

But now Codemasters will stop supporting the game if an announcement made on their official forums is anything to go by.

“With the upcoming release of the Overwatch DLC on PS3, and a few “heated” threads on the topic, I just wanted to inform you all that the team have now completed the “Dragon Rising” chapter of Operation Flashpoint and that’s it for DR-related content going forward.

“We are sorry if Dragon Rising and the two DLCs released to date have left you wanting even more, but in the grand scheme of future plans and schedules the vast majority of the team are already busy planning the future of modern combat.

“We’re aware that this news might disappoint some of you, but I kindly ask that you all please keep any future posts on this topic mature and constructive.”

It’s not a major surprise, but it is a shame.

Codemaster you are a Joke Bohemia kept bring up patches for the first Flashpoint game until 2005 also are still doing patchs for both Arma 1 and 2 and you guys stop only after a 2 dlc and a few patches and leaving the game still not fixed the AI is still dumb and your own teammates walk into your fire and when asked to heal some one all run off some where else and do nothing.

Also you think people are going to buy the next one when you couldnt even release the second one right as well as fix it and support it. What kinda of Developer and Publisher are you game like Operation flashpoint 2 and Arma 1 and 2 are military simiulators your supposed to support and fix them.
