Good news for Aussies hoping to get their hands on Aliens vs Predator. SEGA have confirmed to Kotaku that the original ruling that effectively banned the game in Austrailia has been overturned.

According to Kotaku, a trailer for AvsP went onto the Playstation Store this morning showing a 15+ classification. Then later today SEGA confirmed that they have had the original ruling overturned and have received a 15+ rating for the game. This means no editing needs to be done to the game and it can be released in its current format. SEGA had also stated that they would not be editing the game to get a rating for the game, which meant a reclassification or no release in Australia.

It is not currently known what changed the Austrailian classification boards mind on the rating to give the game.
